Hiring Rubric: Director/VP of Human Resources

Honed with over a decade of hiring HR professionals, this rubric provides categories I've found most important to assess. With each category (e.g. Management Prowess), a description of what each gradation of quality should look like from "Below Average" to "Exemplary" is provided. As an added bonus, I've included the questions and definitions I use to more deeply assess someone's self-awareness.

This rubric is best for assessing a leadership-level HR role but can be repurposed for other HR and non-HR roles.
